Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 1, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Surewyse uses cookies and similar technologies on the websites and dashboards available at https://surewyse.com. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device to remember information across pages and visits. “Similar technologies” include local storage, session storage, and pixels.
2. The cookies we use
We keep cookies to a minimum and use only what is needed to run the Service securely. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID |
Maintains your signed-in session and CSRF token. Strictly necessary — without it the Service cannot function. | First-party, session | Until you close the browser, or 24 hours of inactivity, whichever first |
g_state / Google Identity Services cookies |
Set by Google only when you choose “Sign in with Google”, to manage the federated login flow. | Third-party (Google), functional | Up to 6 months (managed by Google) |
We may also use local storage in your browser to remember small UI preferences (e.g. dismissed banners). Local storage is not sent to our servers.
3. What we don’t use
- No third-party advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No cross-site tracking pixels.
- No analytics SDK that profiles individual users beyond anonymized page-view counts.
4. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking PHPSESSID will prevent you from staying signed in to the dashboard. Blocking Google’s cookies will prevent “Sign in with Google” from working — you can still use email + password.
Where required by law (e.g. ePrivacy in the EU/UK), we ask for your consent to non-essential cookies before setting them. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent.
5. Do Not Track
We honor your browser’s “Do Not Track” signal where reasonably possible by not loading optional analytics or marketing tags. Strictly necessary cookies are still set.
6. Changes
If we add or remove cookies, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date.
